Witnesses

Scripture: Luke 24:44-53 Along with disciples on the day of Jesus’s ascension, we may find ourselves saying, “what next?” Like them, we ground ourselves in the stories and traditions of our ancestors in faith as witnesses to God’s continuing presence with us.

Mothering God

Scripture: 1 Peter 2:2-10 Pastor Amelia invites us to reflect on the ways in which God nurtures and cares for us in our vulnerability as humans… just as our ancestors lifted up images of being fed when we cannot feed ourselves.

Easter – On the Way

Scripture: Luke 24:13-35 The Rev. Susan Gilpin joins us from the shore of Lake Cobbosseecontee, sharing stories of seeing the risen Christ in experiences of new friends on the journey, and in the fulness of all creation.

Finding Peace

Scripture: John 20:19-31 In a time of disorientation and uncertainty, the disciples struggle to take in the Easter good news. So Jesus finds them where they are, and where we are, and offers peace.

Easter Sunday 2020

Scripture: Matthew 28:1-10 Faithful women go to Jesus’s tomb, only to find it empty, and to hear strange news of the resurrection. When they run to tell the other disciples, they see the risen Christ. How are we running to tell good news… that we may see the Christ in others and in our common life?
