The people of Israel are tempted to create a God to soothe their anxieties in the wilderness. What are the “little gods” we sometimes fall under the sway of? If the temptation is for a God small enough to fit our anxious worries, how does Jesus challenge us to follow and trust a God much bigger than our imagining?
