Fellowship Ministry
Ministry of Fellowship
General Information
Our Christian faith calls us to care for one another’s needs, share our joys and concerns, and gather together for encouragement and enjoyment. The Fellowship Ministry carries out these responsibilities in a wide variety of ways. Working closely with the Pastor and the church staff, we organize fall and spring picnics, potluck dinners, progressive suppers, fellowship bookclub, senior luncheons, and dining out at local restaurants.
We often provide food for receptions, help with coffee hour when needed, and send cards to those in need. A subgroup of volunteers provides meals to those with special needs and donates food for receptions.
The ministry has touched each of us in some way. The following are a few quotes from past and present members of the ministry:
“It is enlightening and enriching to be a part of a group that embraces and serves the secular need of our church community.”
“Satisfaction is planning an event and seeing everyone come together to enjoy each other’s fellowship”
2011-2012 Fellowship Ministry members:
Cathy Agostino, Cathy Sanders, Lisa Nash, Jill Fox, Shirley Pyles, Meg Connor, Mim MacLeod and Sarah LeClair
September 10th – The Fellowship Ministry helped with the 200 Anniversary Community Picnic. There were many “Minute to Win it” games that were provided by Meg and team. They were a great success! Lots of fun had by all..especially the kids.
Our future plans for this year are to provide some after church breakfasts to tie into upcoming multi-generational services. We will also be a part of the 200 Anniversary Dinner and reception the following day in November. Once spring arrives, we will be holding our annual Spring Luncheon.
